William Smith "Bill" Harrison, 79, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in Alamogordo, NM. He was born on Thursday, August 25, 1932 in Claremont, VA to Robert A. and Elsie S. (Rinker) Harrison.

Mr. Harrison was raised in the Masonic Home in Richmond, VA. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy April, 1951 and retired in April of 1971. He then worked as the Assistant to the Mayor for the city of West Miami, FL. He served in the Temporary Reserves until August of 1980 after thirty years of service. He then worked for Airpol, Inc., in pollution control for the oil fields in Bakersfield, CA from 1981 until 1997.

In 1965 he married Adeline Harrison, the love of his life. They were married for over forty years. H served his country and took care of his family with honor and love. Bill will be greatly missed by all his family and friends who love him so much. He was an active part of all of our lives. This is not goodbye - just see you later.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline Harrison, his parents, Robert A. and Elsie Harrison and his sister, Alice Lee Harrison.

He is survived by his son, Arty Condito and wife Sara of Alamogordo, his daughters, Roxanne Lane and husband Maurice of Alamogordo and Simone Sergy and husband Sam of Ormond Beach, FL; brother, Robert A. Harrison of Charlottesville, VA; sister, Ella Mae Harrison of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Eric Condito; Joshua Condito and wife Carolina , all of Alamogordo, Kimberly Cline and husband Tyson of Ventura Beach, CA and Adam Montorio of San Antonio, TX; nieces, Chandra Manning and Robin Gomez of Albuquerque and Tamera Sergy of Ormond Beach, FL; nephews, Mark Harrison of Seattle, WA and Michael Harrison of Belen and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews too many to name.

A memorial celebration of William Harrison's life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Elks Lodge; 2290 Hamilton Rd.; Alamogordo, NM 88310.

The Harrison family has entrusted their loved one to the care of PCS. Direct cremation will take place at PCS.
