Viola Gonzales Reyes, 84, longtime Alamogordo resident, passed away, Friday, October 9, 2009 in Alamogordo.
She was born April 14, 1925 in San Patricio, NM to Ruben and Dorotea (Salsberry) Gonzales.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel P. Reyes and an infant son, Jose (Joe) Reyes.
She is survived by her four sons, Leo Reyes and his wife, Karen of Tularosa, Manuel (Sonny) Reyes, David Reyes and his wife, Debra, Robert Reyes and his wife, Karen; two daughters, Juanita Edmond and her husband, Dale and Margaret Schultz and her husband, Ted, all of Alamogordo; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Emilio Gonzales and wife, Rachel of Artesia, Ruben Gonzales and wife, Manuela of Carlsbad and Rayner Gonzales of Artesia and three sisters, Rufina Rodriguez of San Bernadino, CA, Fedelina (Fela) Gomez and husband, Cosme and Telesfora (Tillie) Garcia and husband, Temo, all of Artesia.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 12th and Washington in Alamogordo, NM with Johnny Vaughn and Joe Somers, officiating.
Direct cremation has taken place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
