Loving husband and father


Vernon "Wes" Cory, 72, went to be with our Lord on May 14, 2009.

He was born in Alamogordo, NM on October 28, 1936 to Olen and Grace (Hiles) Cory.

He is survived by his loving wife Val, of 38 years. He is also survived by four children, Cheryal Melican and husband Kennith, of Hope, NM, Gracie Varbel and husband Jamie of Tularosa, Faron Cory and wife Carena, and Layne Cory all of Alamogordo; two step-children Leah Wink and husband Rusty and James Kitching, Jr. all of Alamogordo; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved his very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents Olen and Grace; a son, Jeff and a daughter Arleen.

At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, all donations be made to Alamogordo Hospice, P.O. Drawer 29 1859 Indian Wells, Alamogordo, NM.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Direct Cremation will take place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
