On October 23, 2025, the world lost a dearly beloved husband, brother, uncle, godfather and friend.  Another angel got his wings.  Steven Lawrence Dubour was born February 10, 1965, in Seville, Spain.  His parents were Lawrence Dean Dubour (1940-2012) and Janice Helen (Boruk) Dubour (1943-1988).  By the time Steven was 2 years old his family moved to California as his father was in the Air Force, and his sister, Jennifer was born there.  He loved Jennifer so much.

After his father left the military, the family moved to El Paso, Texas where Steven went to Ysleta High School.  He was a member of the swim team and proficient in swimming,  He loved the water, whether it was a lake, river or ocean.  He had five or six fish tanks while being with Judy.  He graduated in 1983.

Eventually Steven and Jennifer moved to Alamogordo, NM after their mother passed.  Steven met Judy and married 14 months later, April 15, 1989.  Judy was in the Air Force, received orders to Ramstein AFB, Germany, and was there for 3 years.  During that time is where Steven got into car shows.  They weny to car shows in Germany and France.  They returned to Alamogordo, NM just before New Years Eve 1992.  They made their home in Alamogordo, NM area.

Steven worked a few places, but his last employment was White Sands Missile Range, NM.  Steve worked just under his 20 year retirement because he was diagnosed with colon cancer June 2024.  He was on his second round of chemotherapy before he passed away.

Steven was loved by many and will be greatly missed.  Steven knew no stranger.  Everyone who met him felt welcomed by him.  Steven gave encouragement and advice to who would ask and had a heart of gold.  There are so many of the people he met that gave heartfelt tributes about him on his Facebook account saying that he was kind, loving, sweet, admired and will miss his big smile and laughter.  If you have a Facebook account, please read the tributes about him.

Including Steven's parents, he is predeceased by sister, Jennifer Lynn Dubour MacQueen (1967-2008); maternal grandmother, Helen Boruk Fenter (1919-1977); maternal grandfather, John Davidson; paternal grandmother, Mildred (Miller) Dubour (1904-2001); and paternal grandfather, Ernest Dubour, Sr. (1899-1972) and brother-in-law, Steve MacQueen (1960-2025).
