April 10, 2023, Ruth (Frisbie) Bailey has left the earth to join her heavenly family. She outlived them all. Ruth was born in 1929 in Carey, TX and raised in the Texas Panhandle. She graduated in 1946 and moved to Silverton, CO to live with her sister, Helen (Frisbie) Bell. In 1949 she married Donald C. Bailey (from Durham, CT) in Durango, CO. They had been married forty-nine years; Don passed away in 1998. They had two daughters, Susan and Laura.
The family moved often as Don was transferred to new projects. Ruth was very creative, organized and generous. Ruth had several jobs as a bookkeeper and worked on the same construction jobs as Don. She also worked for a plumbing company, an oil company, real estate agents (in UT, CO, NM) the Moab, UT Chamber of Commerce, and the Silverton, CO post office and Grand Imperial Hotel. She (and Don) also worked for a company that mined and milled uranium. They were “Cold War Patriots”. Her family moved over 20 times and they laughed at a nomadic lifestyle. She loved C&W music and Elvis. Willie and Elvis sang for hours as she left the earth and entered heaven.
Ruth enjoyed her family, Susan (Bailey), Bill, Courtney, Lindsey Cates, Laura (Bailey), John, Sam Clemens. She was also blessed by the family animals.
Ruth outlived them all...her siblings Buck Frisbie (Odessa and Cindy), Helen (Frisbie) Bell (Jim, Mark, Jane), Paul Frisbie (Mary, Paulette, Sharon, Pattie, Kevin), Royce Frisbie (Billie, Tamara, Cheryl), David Frisbie (Jean, Charles, Dante, Leanne, Elena Kay), Cary Duke Frisbie (Peggy, Cydni, Curt), her twin, Ruby (Frisbie) English (Jim, Carolyn, Karen, Judy); her parents Basil Duke and Maudie Irene (Johnson) Frisbie.
