Nancy Louise Bear, age 67

Nancy Louise Bear, age 67 and a resident of La Luz, NM, passed peacefully from this world on the morning of July 3rd, 2007.
Nancy graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor's degree in math and chemistry. An accomplished artist and designer, she owned a successful stained glass gallery in Denver Colorado until 1999, when she came to New Mexico and continued to draw and paint. Her lifelong love of cats led her to become an advocate for animal rescue.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Louise Bear of Brownfield, TX, and survived by her loving companion of 15 years, Paula Danford; a daughter, Bridgett Wood of Santa Fe, NM; a sister, Susan Kay of Granbury, TX and a brother, Jerry Bear of Lubbock, TX.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Cat Care Society of Denver 5787 W. 6th Avenue, Lakewood, CO 80214 (303) 239-9680) in honor of her beloved cat Checkers.
Her bright heart and selfless compassion brought happiness and comfort to all whose lives she touched.
A private family Memorial Service will be conducted in the future.
Direct Cremation has taken place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
