Myron Pete Baker Obituary
Myron W. Baker
"Pete"
Pete Baker passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 from lung cancer. He was born December 15, 1931 in Warsaw, New York.
He was survived by his wife Linda Baker of Cloudcroft, NM where Pete and Linda lived; three daughters, Debbie Campbell of Navasota, TX, Clarissa Baker of Spring, TX and Tina Kirk of Arizona; seven grandchildren, Chris and Brandon Campbell, Ashley Baker, Drake MacGorman, Mason, Morgan, and Marshall MacDonald; four great grandchildren, Johnathan Frank, Jessica Sanchez, Brandon Campbell and Ariel Campbell and one sister, Rose Pratt of Batavia, NY.
Pete served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and retired from Sheppard Air Force Base after 24 years of service.
Pete enjoyed fishing, camping, family and working with wood, repairing buildings, sharing his talents with others and always helping out at the New Beginnings Learning Center, where he loved to watch children learn and grow. He was also very active at the Cloudcroft United Methodist Church and Pete's most enjoyable time was with his family and friends.
Pete touched many people's lives and everyone that he came in contact with always became a part of his family. There was never anyone that Pete met that did not have a kind word to say about him. He will be greatly missed.
There will be a celebration of his life at Cloudcroft United Methodist Church on January 16, 2010 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any contributions be made to the Cancer Treatment Center of EL Paso, TX in memory of Pete Baker.
With all of our love, we will miss you, loving husband, daddy and papaw.
