Mike Pittman, passed away peacefully on May 24,2021 at the age of 86. He died before his

Allen, Kyle, Emily, Rene, Mason, Jack, and Bryce, his daughter-in-Iaws, Carissa and Cindy, and
son-in-Iaws, Marc and Jeff, his sister, Pat, and his brother, Butch.
Mike was born in Tatum, New Mexico in 1935 to Lowell and Faye Pittman. He served in the
army during the Korean War, and then graduated from the University of New Mexico with dual
degrees in Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering. He worked for the FAA, stationed in
Alaska, before eventually settling in Alamogordo to develop Round Place Inc and then Mike
Pittman Inc. He was a longtime contractor and engineer in the region and was well known for
his creativity and ingenuity. Most knew of Mike's place located on N. Florida. To some, it
resembled a junk yard, to Mike it was a Theme Park In The Making. His dream was to build
something for his family and Alamogordo. Sometimes when you shoot for the moon, you land
amongst the stars.
Mike lived a full and unique life. His family would like to remember that with you. A celebration
of Mike's life will be held at Heart of the Desert Pistachio Farm at 7288 Hwy 54/70, North of
Alamogordo on Thursday July 1st from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, where Dealers Choice will be
playing some of his favorite music. Put on your dancing boots, come on out at any time
between 7-10, and let's have a toast. To Mike, he was a good man.
