Melvin S. Lewellen, 73
Beloved Husband and Father
Melvin S. Lewellen, 73, of Alamogordo, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2007 in Alamogordo.
Mr. Lewellen was born August 19, 1934 in Lebanon, Indiana to Howard G. and Claris Paul (Norris) Lewellan. He was an Army Veteran. He married Marlene Sue Jacobson, May 8, 1956 in Denver, Colorado. They moved to Alamogordo in 1998 from Moreno Valley, California where he was a builder and developer. He was also a miner for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Marlene S. Lewellen of the family home; a son, Mel Lewellen, Jr. and his wife Jeannie of Moreno Valley, California and a daughter, Myrene Lewellen of Alamogordo; two grandsons; two granddaughters; a sister, Linda Lewellen-Nordin of Talent, Oregon; four nephews and four nieces.
Direct Cremation has been entrusted to PCS Direct Cremation Services and there will be no public services.
