Robert Medley, 9/17/35 - 8/23/11

Bob was born in Dubuque, Iowa to Mary Rolling and Herbert Medley. He was a genuine friend, devoted father and loving family man.

He grew up in Freeport, IL, and attended Loras College in Dubuque. He served in the U. S. Air Force and worked faithfully at Moore Business Forms for 31 years. Having spent most of his working life in Dallas, he then moved to Rockport, TX and Cloudcroft, NM. Bob enjoyed spending time with his friends and loved playing golf.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 28 years, Karen Kenyon Medley, son Michael Medley, son-in-law Jay Miller, parents Mary and Herbert Medley, and half-brother Loren Ostir. He is survived by his "fiancee forever" Beverley (Bebe) Bigham, daughters Melissa (husband Steven) Morrison, Debi Medley, stepchildren Kathee and Robert Grunsfeld, Gary Childress, grandchildren Brandon Medley and Madeline Morrison, step-granddaughter Christina Childress, sisters Rosemary (husband Bill) Kinzig and Carol (husband Ed) Walsh.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to (1) Alamogordo Home Care/Hospice, (2) the church home or charity of your choice, or (3) your grandchild's college fund.

A memorial service will be held at Cloudcroft United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 27. A second memorial service will be held in Dallas on Sunday, September 11, at 2 p.m. at the home of Melissa Medley Morrison.

Bob's family will miss him dearly.
