Lyle L. Houston, 65

Lyle L. Houston, 65, went to his Heavenly home on August 19, 2010. Lyle was born in Medford, Oregon on May 2, 1945 to Lindsay and Leona (Schulz) Houston.

Lyle retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service. He then went on the work at Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center for 23 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 2016, VFW 7686 and Military Order of the Cooties.

He fought a long hard battle with cancer. He will always be in our hearts and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Vickie; mother, Leona Houston; brother Clifford Houston and wife Jonni; daughter, Theresa and Guy Ross; son, John and Denise Houston; step daughter, Pamela Yetter and two step sons, Michael and Charles Cook. He was also blessed with 21 grandchildren Christa, Katie, Courtney, Kayla, Catherine, Rebekah, Elizabeth, Joseph, Joshua, Dustin, Bryon, Michael, Andrew, Becca, Lexi, Brittany, Alissa, Johnathan, Cody, Michael and Sabrina.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lindsay Houston.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, August 24th , 2010 at the Moose Lodge.

Military honors will be provided by the Holloman Air Force Base Steel Talons Honor Guard.

A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Thursday, August 26, 2010 the Base Chapel with Father Henry Yanju, Celebrant.

Direct Cremation will take place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
