LeRoy Cantrell, 81
LeRoy Cantrell, passed away peacefully on June 21,2014 at the home he designed and built in Cox Canyon, New Mexico. He is survived by his beloved wife Loveta M. Cantrell, they were married on June 15, 1952 in Roswell, NM. Born to James and Mary Cantrell in Oxford, Kansas on December 28, 1932. He joined the Air Force in 1951, upon retirement he worked for Rockwell International on the B1 bomber and the NASA space shuttle. He was an avid outdoors man, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. One of his greatest pleasures in life were his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by 3 children, Cheryl L. Phipps, Karen L. Cantrell and Wallace L. Cantrell (Melissa), 8 grand children Kelly (Levi), Jonathan, Sarah, Amber (Chris), David, Cyrus, Chris (Becca), Michal and Josh, 7 great grandchildren Allen, Sabrina, Cyrstal, Daniella, Alyssa, Jeremy, Rebbeca. Sisters, Lorene, Mayme, Mary Ellen, and Doris and preceded by parents, brothers James, Earnest and Donnie.
Special Thanks to Dr. Abood and staff, the wound center, occupational therapy and staff at GCMH, Alamogordo Home Health Care and Hospice for their compassionate care and to our extended family members Lucille, David, Dave, Dee and Jimmy Swope for all they have done.
In honor of LeRoy's wishes no memorial services will be held, know that we are grateful for all your loving support and thoughts.
Direct Cremation will take place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
