John Oran Porter, 75

In loving memory our Dad, John Oran Porter born April 25th 1933 in Corona New Mexico has been called home to be with the lord. John had battled a short battle with lung cancer. John had battled a short battle with lung cancer.

Born and raised in Corona New Mexico John went on and was married three times. Jewel his first wife blessed him with three sons. Johnny, Jr., Duane and Darrell. His second wife Wanda blessed him with two step children, Delfhine and Randy. And at last was Matthew. He was married a third time to Nancy.

He always tired to be the best father, husband and friend he knew to be. John was known for many things during his life, he called himself "Honest John".

John was retired from working many years for the Telephone Company. John always prided himself on doing a job "Well Done"

John loved to work outside, at one point owning and operating Porter's Tomahawk Nursery in Ruidoso.

John is survived by his wife Nancy, his sons Johnny Jr. and his wife Denise of Aztec , Duane of Roswell, Darrell of Bloomfield and Matthew and his wife Holly of Ingram Texas, a brother, Luke of Corona, sisters, Charlene and Vivian; grandkids, Michelle Dawn, Kathy Lynn and Brendan Paul. John has 9 other grandchildren in Texas.

John was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Lucille, brothers Wayne, Charles, Pete and sister Dorothy; stepchildren Delphine and Randy; also his first wife Jewel and second wife Wanda.

May we always remember we leave memories that last forever. Dad we love you and will always hold you high and will love you forever.

A small grave side service will be held in Corona on Wednesday June 11th at 11:00 AM

Direct Cremation has taken place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
