Joan Storey, 87
Our beloved Joan Storey passed away on January 20, 2010. She was 87, and died peacefully in her sleep at the home of her son John P. Storey.
She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin J. Storey (Jack) on May 10, 2004. She is survived by her son and his wife Ginger, her sister Coline McInnes of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and Coline's children ~ Rob & Lucie McInnes of Lynnfield, Mass. ~ Lynne & Ross Thompson of Stonewall, Manitoba, Canada ~ Bill & Chris McInnes of Mt. Horeb Wis. and their families. She is also survived by her 6 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren: ~ Beth & Richard Gruis, their sons Colton & Christian ~ Ben & Melisa Storey their children, twins Chance & Hayden, and daughter Madison Claire. ~ Jenny & Jack McCall, their sons Santana & Halen ~ Bonnie & Caylin Storey ~ Christopher Maples ~ Kenny Love ~ Jontelle & Jake Brewer, their children Helena & Liam. As well as other family members; Ginger Storey ~ Johnna Storey ~ Bill Maples ~ Stella Shain. Also the many wonderful friends she had made here in Alamogordo.
In celebration of Joan's life there will be a Memorial Service at St. John's Episcopal Church on January 27th at 2:00 pm at 1114 Indiana Ave in Alamogordo.
There will be a guestbook and reception to follow the service. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to St. John's Episcopal Church.
Direct Cremation will take place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
