Jimmy Shores, 69

Beloved Family Man

Jimmy Shores, 69, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 with his family by his side. He was born in Abilene, Texas on August 30, 1939 to James Waylon and Margaret Cecile (McKee) Shores. Jimmy and his wife Caroline moved from Tonopah, Nevada to the Cloudcroft/Mayhill area in 1993. He leaves behind many dear friends in the Cloudcroft and Mayhill area.

Survivors included his wife of 34 years, Caroline, of the family home; daughters, Lori Anna Thompson and husband David, and their children, Jessica and David, Jr., of Maryland and Sharma Shores of Fort Worth, TX; son, Troy Shores and wife Yvonne of lakeside, TX; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild; sister, Becka Rivera and husband John of Los Lunas, NM and their sons, T.J. Rivera and wife Jennifer of Memphis, TN and Jace Rivera and wife Laci of Albuquerque, both of which were very special nephews to Jimmy; other special nieces and nephews include, Kimberly Hines and husband Robert, J.D. and Cherie Forkner all of Alamogordo and numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Kelly Shores.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Mayhill Baptist Church with Robert Bailey officiating.

There will be a luncheon served following the service.

Direct Cremation will take place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
