Jenness N. "Jo" Montoya, 67

Jenness N. Montoya, 67, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Jo was born on July 9, 1945 in Central Lake, Michigan to Edward and Gretchen Weisler. She moved with her family to New Mexico in June of 1953.

She received her Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Computer Technology and Business from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. She worked as an IT Tech for the Inn of the Mountain Gods and Mescalero Apache School.

She was married to Wendell J. Wilson from 1969 to 1987 and had three children. She married Alfred Montoya on September 4, 1999.

Jo is survived by her husband of 12 years, Alfred of Tularosa, NM; three children, F. Adam Wilson and wife Jennifer of San Antonio, TX, A. Dawn Wilson-Earp of Midland, TX, E. James Wilson of Marysville, OH and Fleta Shendo and husband Sammy, Sr. of Mescalero, NM; three brothers, Douglas Weisler and wife Wanda of Central Lake, MI, Pete Weisler and Janet Noack of Lovington, NM, Crayton Weisler and wife Sharon also of Lovington; sisters, Georgiena Smith and husband Dean and Glenda Gilbert all of Lovington and Winnie Marion and husband Gene of Tularosa, NM; numerous nephews and nieces, one special niece, Monica King of Rio Rancho, NM; brother-in-law, Ernest Montoya and wife Pauline of Scottsdale, AZ and sister-in-law, Sylvia Salas of Tularosa, NM. She was known as "Granny Jo" to Hannah and Cade Wilson of San Antonio, TX, Braeden Earp of Midland, TX, Ethan and Caleb Wilson of Marysville, OH, Sammy Jr. and Olivia Shendo of Mescalero, NM and Hannah and Tyler King of Rio Rancho, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Gretchen Weisler; grandchild, Phelan Earp and nephews, Tim Spence and Ty Fitzgerald.

Jo was a member to the Tularosa Community Church in Tularosa, NM, where her memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, July 20, 2012.

The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of PCS to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
