James Light Obituary

James Light passed away on December 25, 2013 in Alamogordo, NM after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease; he was 82 years old.

Born in Annville, Pennsylvania on November 17, 1931, Jim was the sixth child of Cora and Vernon Light.

Jim is survived by his wife, Avis, sons Adam and wife Melissa and Luther and wife Amanda and by his four grandchildren Jacob, Isaac, Eloit and Maya. His is also survived by his sisters Anna Light and Ruth Loffler, his brother Earl and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister Mary Grace and brother John Henry.

The Light family will hold a celebration of Jim's life pm Saturday, June 7'Th from 1-3 PM to be hosted by Silver Fork Lodge in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Jim's many friends and neighbors from his fifty years in the canyon, first as owner and chef at Silver Fork Lodge and later as summer guide at Silver Lake are invited to share memories with family members and one another.
