James Matchett King

James Matchett King, 86, passed away on September 8, 2025 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was born on August 13, 1939 in El Paso, Texas to William and Gladys (Matchett) King. 

Survivors include his wife, Barbara King; daughter, Kathleen Schell, and husband, Jim, of Plano, TX; two sons, James King, Jr. and wife, Terry, of Goodyear, AZ, Roland Kent King and wife, Debbie, of Alamogordo, NM; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Edith King; father, William Durbin King; brother, William D King, Jr.; and brother, Robert W King.

The King family has entrusted their loved one to the care of PCS Direct Cremation Service.  Cremation will take place at PCS.
