Herbert J. Gipson, 78

Herbert J. Gipson of Alamogordo passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 in Alamogordo with his wife of 51 years by his side.

Herbert was born June 24, 1934 in Graham, TX to Charles and Bessie Gipson. Herbert was one of eight children. In 1961 he met and married Wanda Johnson in Plainview, TX. Herbert and Wanda worked together in raising three sons. During his lifetime, Herbert worked as a farmer, carpet installer and with his wife in property management.

He enjoyed fishing, cooking, watching old western movies and his grandgirls who he loved with all his heart.

He is survived by his wife Wanda, of 51 years, his three sons and their families; Ronnie and Johanna Gipson of Sullivan, MO, Kenneth and Bonnie Gipson and their daughters Kayla, Cassandra, Kelly and Shelly and Richard Gipson and his daughter Stephanie (Brad) Jennings all of Alamogordo, NM.

Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Per his wishes cremation will take place. Family and friends are invited to a gathering to share memories of Herb on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1 pm at the home of Kenneth and Bonnie Gipson, 1218 Post Ave in Alamogordo, NM.
