Genevieve Irene Frazier Obituary

Genevieve Irene Frazier, 80, passed away on April 3, 2014 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was a resident of Good Samaritan Society Betty Dare.

She was born on April 10, 1933 in Fairfield, Maine to Walter and Violet Pooler. Even though she called Alamogordo, NM her home for 20 years, she dreamed of returning to the place of her childhood memories living on the "Kennebec River" in Waterville, Maine.


Survivors include Daughter, Catherine A. (Cat) Ross, son-in-law, Kevin R. Ross of Alamogordo, NM; sons, Thomas M. Laury and wife Cindy of Elmira, Oregon, Jeffrey M. Frazier and wife Karen of Barstow, California. She was a grandmother to 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard James Frazier in August of 1988; her father, Walter Phillip Pooler and mother, Violet Blair-Pooler of Waterville, Maine. She was the last survivor of the eight children in her family.

Of all the things she enjoyed most in her life, besides her family, was her love of music, reading, and writing poetry. She loved to sing, her voice was angelic. She loved playing piano, guitar, harmonica, spoons and bones. She worked in a drugstore, was a home health care worker, and a supervisor of a retirement center in California. She was an Auxillian for then GCMH (A Pink Lady) back in 1994-1995 in Alamogordo, NM. She loved children and being a homemaker.

The Frazier family has entrusted their loved one to the care of PCS Direct Cremation Service to direct the funeral services. Cremation will take place at PCS.
