Eva Chech Petty, 84
February 6, 1926 ~ October 7, 2010
Eva Chech Petty, 84, passed away in Alamogordo, NM. She was born in Gaidel, Slovakia to Josepf and Caroline (Schuster) Tschech. Eva's life was filled with joy and love for others, and she enriched the lives of everyone she met. All those who knew and loved Eva will miss her greatly and the positive impact she made on the many lives she touched will continue on.
Eva was a survivor of a Russian Concentration Camp. She and her family were there from May 1945 to June 1946 and then released to Augsburg, West Germany. She relied on her courage and strong faith and always continued to see the good in others keeping a positive outlook on life.
She is survived by a brother, Victor Czech of Kaneohe, Hawaii; stepdaughter, Deanna Kern of Dennison, TX and many nieces and nephews.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jim) Petty, two brothers and two sisters.
An inurnment will be held at Saint John's Episcopal Church on October 24, 2010 at 9:15 am with no reception following.
Direct Cremation has taken place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
