Elwan Belew Perkins

Elwan Belew Perkins, 64, entered eternity Friday, September 19, 2008, in Alamogordo, New Mexico at Good Samaritan Society Betty Dare. She was born September 16, 1944 in Los Angeles, California but her home was Clayton, New Mexico where she graduated from Clayton High School in 1962. Elwan touched everyone in a very special way. She spent 32 years of her life in a wheel chair as a result of a car accident in 1976. She taught us all how to enjoy life with her laughter, jokes and tears.
She is survived by a large family; the Betty Dare staff & residents, her mother, Marjory Belew of Springhill, Florida and sisters; Noel Marie Colangelo (Bob) of Raton, NM and Joanne Kurtright (Joe) of Springhill, Florida., her daughter, Pamela Rogers (Rick) of High Rolls, NM and three sons Samuel Perkins (Hope Ann) of Hopedale, MA, Noel Perkins (Danniel) and Bill Perkins (Betsy) both of Springhill, Florida. Nine grandchildren; Amanda Marshall (Tim) of Cloudcroft, NM, Alexandra and Brianna MacDonald of High Rolls, NM; Zachary and Samuel III Perkins of Hopedale, MA; Cameron, Samuel, Chesney, and Alyssa, all of Springhill, Florida. Also surviving; Norine Lindblom of White Rock, NM; David and Sandy Lindblom of Pojoaque, NM; Todd Lindblom, Gretchen and Tom Saunders, Susan and Dick Blinzler all of Albuquerque, NM; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place at a future date with family.
Direct Cremation will take place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
