Elmer Swanson, 95
He is deeply missed

Elmer Swanson, 95, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2008 with loved ones by his side. Mr. Swanson was born on June 29, 1912 in Connecticut. Mr. Swanson was preceded in death by his son, Ted and by Mitilda, the mother of his girls.

He is survived by his wife, Ida (Bobbi); daughters, Elvi Burke and husband Tony and Deborah Swanson, all of CA.

He was a member of Cuba Avenue Church of Christ.

He was a loving husband and father. As a naval officer, he served his country well, both proudly and bravely. He maintained a high level of integrity throughout his entire life. Everyone who knew Elmer Swanson appreciated his enthusiasm for life, his sense of humor, and his eagerness to be of help to others. He is deeply missed and remembered with love and admiration.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Cuba Avenue Church of Christ.
