Brian Keith Riegert, born September 1, 1967, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2024. He was a long-time resident of Alamogordo, NM. He grew up in the Alamogordo and Tularosa area, living and working in the community for many years. During his life in the Tularosa Basin, he made many friends and added several chosen family members along the way. 

Brian always found joy in attending family dinners with his children and grandchildren, who he loved more than anything. Family was important to him. Brian was always listening to music. He would sing, dance, and genuinely enjoy the songs he would listen to. One of his favorite activities was rocking out at live shows at The Rabbit Hole. Beyond his love of music, Brian was a die-hard Chicago fan in all sports, though football was always on top. We watched the Bears every week during football season and everyone knew it. GO BEARS!

Brian is survived by his children, Ashley Riegert, Tory Hill (Gerald), and Michael Shotack (Heather); his siblings, Charlotte Burch Tacon, John C. Burch, Cathy Smith Hearn (Andy), Willie Mae Smith, Dale Riegert (Michelle), Gale Riegert Badjar (James); and his beautiful grandchildren, Alixandria, Gabbrielle, Temperance, Aubrey, Jaxson, Emerie, as well as many others he considered his own, as well as numerous chosen family.

The Riegert family has entrusted their loved one to the care of PCS Direct Cremation Service.
