Billy Samuel Otero

Billy Samuel Otero, 71, passed away on June 20, 2024, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was born on September 15, 1952, in Carrizozo, New Mexico to Antonio and Manuelita Otero. 

Billy was a loving husband, proud father, an exceptional grandfather, and a trustworthy brother and son. He worked civil service for Holloman Air Force base for 30+ years. He was a jack of all trades; he knew how to fix just about anything. Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching his 49ers play; he gave everyone grief during football season. He was well known in the community and always willing to help anyone in need. Billy had a sense of humor and infectious laugh. He could crack jokes and make fun of anyone in the room. He kept us all on our toes. He will sorely missed. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Manuelita Beltran Otero; his father, Antonio Otero; 4 sisters, Pauline, Sylvia, Edna, Irene; 4 brothers, Faustino (Tino), Joe, Orlando, Emilio.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Luisa Otero; sons, Billy Otero Jr. and Victor Otero; his bonus sons, Victor Ortega and David Ortega (Cindy); 6 grandchildren, Domanik, Skylynn, Keana, Senovia, Thomas, Antonio; great grandson, Beau; brothers, Gabriel, Junior, Robert, Johnny; his sister, Mary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

The Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Mountain View Church, 1300 Cuba Ave, Alamogordo, NM with Pastor Anthony Torres officiating. 

Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be his sons. 

The Otero family has entrusted their loved one to the care of PCS Direct Cremation for cremation.
