Bevely (Cookie) L Fletcher, went home to be with his Lord and Savior "Jesus Christ" on July 3, 2022 at the age of 84. He was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico on July 9, 1937. Cookie had a servant's heart, trusting and depending on Jesus. The Twinkle in his eye, his Joking, his whistling, and his smile for all he met, will be missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at New Heart Cowboy Church with Pastor Vic Williford officiating.
Cookie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ella Fletcher; his four children from a previous marriage, Bobby Fletcher and Debbi of Florida, Debra Boardman of Wyoming, Tonya Young and Rob of Wyoming, Cindy and Scott McCreary of Wyoming; Ella's three children, Robert and Gail Strandell of Kansas, Vince Strandell and Dorothy of Michigan, Joan Wilson of Michigan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; brother, Ray Fletcher of New Mexico; brother-in-law, Austin Peterson of Arizona.
Cookie enjoyed fishing, hunting and dancing. He retired from Brown and Root A Haliburton Company in 1999.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Cookie's name to the New Heart Cowboy Church at 1311 Galway Drive, PO Box 12, Alamogordo, NM, 88311.
The Fletcher family has entrusted their loved one to the care of PCS Direct Cremation Service to direct the cremation.
