Amanda Brown Obituary

Amanda Jean Brown, 33, of Alamogordo, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 24, 2020.

She was born on January 27, 1987 at Cannon AFB, Clovis, New Mexico, the daughter of Bryan Brown and Cindy (Brown) Wallace. She was the second oldest of four children. Her family moved to Bemidji, Minnesota when she was 4 years old where Amanda started school. Three years later her family returned to New Mexico to live in Alamogordo where Amanda continued her early education and graduated from Alamogordo Sr. High in 2005. While in high school, Amanda excelled on the Tiger Track Team winning many medals and trophies.  She continued with her education at NMSU in Alamogordo pursuing a business degree while working at Home Depot. After completing her studies at NMSU-A, she transferred to the NMSU main campus in Las Cruces to continue her education and also transferred to the Home Depot in Las Cruces. Being the Free Spirit that she was, she decided to move to Brandon, Florida in 2012 to live with her cousin Brandi (Chavez) Rininger, who always had a special place in Amanda’s heart, and enjoy the single sunny Florida ‘Beach Life’. Amanda loved to take cruise’s, go to the beach and generally just enjoy life. ‘Panda Bear’ as her parents lovingly referred to her as, was a fast talking, fun loving, Free Spirit, whom enjoyed life’s every moment to its fullest. She had a beautiful soul and her infectious smile and personality showed through even during her struggles with her health. A close friend of Amanda’s, called her an Engraver; as she ‘Engraved’ her character on the soul of everyone she met in such a way that they would never forget her. She had a quick wit and a gentle heart and everyone who met her had a friend for life.

Amanda is preceded in death by her grandparents Clarence and Florence Jackson; and is survived and deeply missed by her parents; mother Cindy Wallace, husband Ken of Alamogordo, NM; father Bryan Brown, wife Kim of Mora, MN; Siblings, Jacob Brown (Brittany) of Morristown, NJ; Jessica Brown & Kassidy Wallace of Alamogordo, NM; Grandparents Ray and Barbara Brown of Bemidji, MN plus numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Amanda’s life will take place on July 18th, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Worship Center in Alamogordo, NM. Amanda will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.
