Memorial for Allen Scott Pearson
United States Marine Memorial: Remembering the life, death and legacy of Allen ‘Scott’ Pearson who went home to be with the Lord July 31, 2021, following a brief illness in Alamogordo, NM. Scott was born January 11, 1952 in North Caldwell, NJ to Genevieve Bach Pearson and Winifred Scott Pearson. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara J (Flynt) Pearson; son, Joshua and wife Katherine; step son Austin Stauffacher; 2 granddaughters, Janet Rachel and Jena Rae Pearson; as well as other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Velma.
Scott was a special education teacher. He served as the Department Chair at Alamogordo High School, Transition Specialist and an IEP Specialist for over 25 years for the Alamogordo Public School District.
Scott served in the United States Marine Corp. He received a Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Scott received an Honorable Discharge from the Marine Corp. In the Marines, Scott was a musical Ambassador of the Marine Corp performing throughout the continental United States and internationally.
A memorial service will be held in Alamogordo at a later time. Private burial will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
