Aleene M. Smith, 90

Aleene Mary Smith passed away January 22, 2010 at Betty Dare Good Samaritan Center.

She was born December 21, 1919 to Hubert and Edna Graves Baker in Weatherford, Texas. On December 9, 1935 she married John Walter Smith in Lordsburg, New Mexico and of that union they had three children.



She is survived by two children; son, George W. and wife Bunny Smith of Bloomfield, NM and daughter, Carol S. and husband Malcolm F. Hill of Alamogordo, NM; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 9 great, great grandchildren; a brother, Zayus Baker, of Keene, TX, a loving sister-in-law, Elwanda Baker, of Azle, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.



Most of her life she was a homemaker in Lordsburg. After the death of her husband she left Lordsburg and spent the remainder of her life with her children in Alamogordo and Bloomfield.



Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, John W. Smith, in 1968 and her youngest son, J.D. Smith, in 1972.

She has been cremated and services are planed at a later date.

Direct Cremation has taken place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
